Welcome! I’ve always been curious about what happens between people—how we connect, what draws us together, what drives us apart, and how our relationships shape the choices we make.
I’m a sociologist by training and a novelist by choice. For decades, I worked as a consultant and academic, helping global enterprises and governments understand the social and environmental dimensions of their work. My professional life was ultimately about relationships: how people build trust, navigate differences, and find ways to work together. It led to The Stakeholder Strategy: Profiting from Collaborative Business Relationships, a book about creating genuine, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Now I explore those same questions through fiction.
Writing novels gives me the freedom to enter the intimate, complicated spaces where love, ambition, loyalty, and conflict intersect. I’m drawn to characters who find themselves caught between what they want, what they need, and what they owe to the people they love—and to the unexpected consequences that follow when those forces collide.
In both my professional work and my fiction, I keep returning to one question: What happens between people when what they want, what they need, and what they owe each other can no longer all be reconciled?
